Bras into hats

January Hoot 2018 – Making Hats from Bras You really should have been there! 21 Rutland Red Hatters met in Belton Village Hall for an extraordinary craft Hoot. We were assured that making hats from bras was fun, and indeed an obvious way of recycling said garments. Everything was laid on – beautiful surroundings, lively company, warm sunshine, plentiful drinks, and a delicious picnic packed in Queen Tess’s elegant individual boxes. We have been to the theatre at Kilworth several times … Continue reading Top Hat, Kilworth

Hampton Court Flower Show

On Sunday 9th July, 26 Red Hatters and friends were picked up bright(?) and early by a cheerful coach driver. The journey down was slow and traffic-jammed, but by midday we arrived and negotiated the walk over the stepped bridge and into Hampton Court Grounds. Some of us looked at the formal gardens round the Palace, before entering a large and bewildering showground packed with … Continue reading Hampton Court Flower Show
