Needle felting

Well, between us we made flowers and owls, music notes and baubles, all out of felt, and what fun we had. Thanks so much to Lois, our teacher, who arrived with all her bits of foam and barbed needles, bowls of lovely coloured sheep’s wool and a gorgeous selection of things she has made, to inspire us. And inspire she did. With a few careful and succinct instructions we were off, hands flying,  stabbing our wool into wonderful shapes. Little Miss Do a Lot, who’s off to uni next week, gave us a final fling of goodies to munch on while we worked and Lady Jane Purple of Wing provided a great selection of drinks. The whole evening cost each hatter only £5.00, the rest (hall hire, Lois fees, drinks and food) subsidised by hatty funds – and we all got to keep our foam and needle and were allowed to take a bit of spare wool with us to carry on creating at home.

Here we are with our fab felts!
