Retreating to a comforting repast.
Yes us hats were at it again – we know where a good time and good food can be had. Pudding night at Launde was the setting for our latest jaunt. Hats jauntily atop of heads we tucked into a delicious ‘main’ and then settled in, along with other diners, for a constant stream of sweet delights set before us with good humour, good service and aplomb by the waiting staff. They didn’t have to wait long for us to be ready for the next pud.
I could list the puddings but there are some people who are on a diet and that would be cruel. We know what they were. We did have to vote for our favourite, a very difficult task but in the end the grand finale – Christmas pudding won. Dimmed lights, fire and timing possibly helped. You know how it is. My personal fave was the panacotta and mulled wine jus/sauce thing. OMHat truly perfect.
Wonderful to see Lady Penny Forum back looking hale and hearty after a year of illness, now missing the odd bit here and there but humour and wit intact.
Hats like to be prepared and this was a good practice, or is that practise? Whatever – a good p I am sure for our Christmas Do.
