Sloe Gin making

About fifteen hatters met in Morcott armed with bottles of gin and sloes, sugar, recipes, kilner jars and stirrers,  for our first attempt, for many of us, at making sloe gin. Much prodding of the fat black berries, pouring of sugar and tippling of gin ensued, culminating in a slug or two of last year’s brew to whet the appetite. Many thanks to Kingston Girl, Sharon, for her generous hospitality. Here we all are with our bottles, of gin, looking pretty happy! Roll on Christmas when we can taste our tipples.
